Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked at the boat launch at the end of Fundy Rd. in Nottingham. The access road had not been plowed, was icy and rutted, but passable with common sense driving. I met a local resident along the road who was clearing a blowdown. Thank you!
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Blue

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Right after the snowmobile bridge at the Fundy/Shaw junction is a flooded section of Fundy that was a little tricky to negotiate. Waterproof boots a must. The major crossing on Shaw is thankfully bridged! Water there was running high and fast.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Two large blowdowns of note: The first is on Woronoco, looks old, has a herd path around it; the second is a widow maker with a fresh break on Split Rock that looks like it came down in the recent storm.

Comments
Comments: It appeared I was the only hiker in the eastern portion of Pawtuckaway State Park today. A good day for a loop of almost seven miles.

All of these trails were mostly bare with dustings of snow here and there. Fundy and Shaw had some stretches of ice; more so on Fundy where puddles had frozen solid. There were also some areas of open water in spots. Certainly no need for traction at the moment as all of the ice is avoidable.

The mostly sunny forecast took its time to materialize but eventually the sun appeared during the walk out.
