Great day on the Hancocks. Went up North and drown South and wore snowshoes car to car. Could get away with microspikes but we found snowshoes to be preferred mode of travel. Also, who doesn’t love televators?! Trail looks like it’s seen mostly folks in snowshoes and some bare booting but in good condition. Let’s see what this storm brings. Some mud at the beginning. most crossing not bridged (a few higher up ones are) - some are beginning to be but again incoming storm might take that out. Currently South has very very minimal ice showing for safe descent. |
