| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Ski area lot 1 was full, but I think there was room in lot 2. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow/Ice - Postholes |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All currently open but hoppable. Second is probably the trickiest due to the best rocks having a lot of powder on them. Could be a problem after tomorrow's rain. |

| Comments: |
If you hike in the rain tomorrow, PLEASE WEAR SNOWSHOES! Things are going to be soft, so any postholes will likely set up solid overnight and make conditions terrible for those who hike for the foreseeable future.
Trail was well packed for snowshoe use this afternoon, but was not firm enough for barebooting. Quite a few Microspikers masquerading as winter hikers leaving lots of postholes and divots in their wake.
Generally about 2 feet of powder down low with some deeper drifts in places up high. Who knows what the storm will do, but I don't think it'll take out all of the snow above the ski area viewpoint. |
