No blowdowns to speak of. A few bog bridges 3/4 of way to summit seemed to be missing, or only one plank |

Ledges had patches of black ice. Norman slid 10-15 feet backwards a few times for not noticing the ice. Some drinking water available higher up. |

| Comments: |
Bottom half of trail very dry with great footing. Top half a little wet, ledges above Mt. Surprise were full of black ice. However, there was too much bare rock to warrent microspikes until about 3200'. Warm sun, clear skies, very little wind on summit. 8" of snow at top. Trail filling in nicely with snow in places near the summit--- made for quick travel. |
