Superb winter conditions early this morning. Trail is well packed. Fine to leave snowshoes in the car as long as it stays cold. If you really like snowshoes and the mechanical advantage of heel risers, by all means bring them and use them, especially on the second half.
Definitely a lot more snow on Tecumseh than what I observed last Sunday on Liberty.
I was up and down really early. Caught the sunrise and it was a good one. Crossed paths with four (4) hikers and 2 skiers on the way down before 7:30 a.m. Best guess is that this will be a very busy trail today.
Nice to meet and talk with Whitecap a bit on the decent. |
