Comments
Comments: Lake Solitude, Ledges above the lake
Andrew Brook, Monadnock Sunapee Greenway, Side trail to ledge

Stellar hike, perfect temps, little wind. Snow was deep, and caked to the trees. Rime ice evident above 2000 ft, especially along the lake and ledges. Snowshoes or skis are essential right now. There was one bare booter on the trail that sort of tore things up, but it wasn't really an issue till close to the bottom. Temps were above freezing down low, so the trail got kind of sloppy. Up high the snow was deep, fluffy, and unconsolidated. Snowshoes are essential for (relatively) easy travel. All that said, the views from the pond and ledge were spectacular. Winter and peak foliage are the best times to visit.
