Exciting day for a friends grid finish. Ravine lodge road was easily barebooted. Snowshoes were worn for the entirely of Gorge Brook Trail, and those in snowshoes had a significantly easier time than those wearing spikes who had occasional postholes up to hip deep and divoting and thus would strongly recommend snowshoes until the next icing event or trails are fully packed down. Trail will likely drift back over above treeline, cairns are covered in rime ice and relatively small so follow closely |
