Mr Brooks is supposed to finish his grid tomorrow. Only problem, before you hit 576 you need 575 and he had orphaned Bondcliff a few years ago. So, we had a mission today. We barebooted down Lincoln Woods but could have worn snowshoes all day if we really wanted to. Maybe 6 inches of snow down low on Lincoln Woods. Once we hit the boundary it started to pick up. Couple challenges Trail finding with trees down and snow covered trees. Most of the way up I’d say it was around 1.5 to 2 feet. Will eventually caught up to us about a mile short of Bondcliff and helped us break it out the rest of the way. Hillary Step was fun. Windblown and drifty up top.
As far as what we saw on the way back: it looked like people had made turns up Osseo, Black Pond, Franconia Falls. Will was heading to Bond and potentially out over the Twins, but sounded like he was considering following us back out from Bond. We did not see him again so unsure what he decided. |
