Comments
Comments: Well, we chose Pierce today and started at 11 am with hopes that we wouldn’t have to break trail. A few people were ahead of us, but turned around about 3/4 of a mile up. My boyfriend and I broke out the rest to the summit , there was one hiker by himself behind us . The first 3/4 of mile is nicely packed. The rest is very soft and still pretty fluffy. The last mile to the summit was probably 2 feet deep initially. Took us over 4 hours to get to the summit. You definitely need snowshoes , but from the lack of other trip reports, and what I’ve seen in the couple others posted, this trail is probably in the best condition out of most of the trails right now. I hope people read this and can get out and enjoy a somewhat packed trail! It’s still currently snowing and was on our way down, but hopefully it won’t fill in too much!
