Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: No problems getting to the Dearborn trailhead at the end of Hobbs Rd. in Effingham. The short portion of the road past the Class VI sign is maintained due a residence (unmaintained after that), but I don't believe the trailhead parking is plowed.

Comments
Comments: This report won't mean anything after the incoming storm so I'll keep it brief.

Today, all of the hiking trails were a mix of bare ground and very thin snow cover; less than an inch. Some minor mud and water in spots too. The Class VI portion of Libby Road was generally dry, and the Class VI portion of Hobbs Road had a mix of old ice, mud, and water. The walk between the Libby and Dearborn trailheads using these roads is one mile. Snow will improve Libby Road Trail greatly as it's rocky and eroded much of the way. With good snow cover it would be a fine snowshoeing route.

There are still nice views from the fire tower except to the north, where the trees have grown up.
