Comments
Comments: It was very cold day, about 10F at the trailhead. Trail was very dry and, after about 2500 ft there were patches with thick ice. We managed to go bare booted until about 3400 ft but then switched permanently to microspikes. Ice was very thick on some sections and we avoided it by going on the sides of the trail through trees [causes damage]. Some light snow past 3500 ft on the ground, but mostly ice. Not too many people on the trail, tops 3-4 smaller groups for the whole day
