| Comments: |
Great day to be out. No wind until summit, cold but not terrible. We bear-booted until between 3600-3700 feet then spikes. took them off around 3200 feet. Lots of ice, we were able to rock hop for quite a while. Then common sense took over & on they went. Some big flows on the last climb to top. Really not bad coming down. Minor ice on summit, we ducked in the foundation as the wind though light was brisk. Cloudy with Franconia Ridge in the clouds, but still some nice views. We made good time heading down. Only saw 5 others today.
Congrats to Rhonda for Gridding out Garfield!!! |
