Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Lot full upon 8:00 arrival (surprised) turned out bunch from UNH camping out this weekend nearby. Road in and bridges in excellent condition.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Ice - Black, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular

Recommended Equipment: Light Traction 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock hopped--some ice on few rocks in morning. If hiking out by headlamp you may want to take good look at multiple brook crossing on way up because it can be confusing picking up trail on other side here in dark.

Trail Maintenance Notes: Few blowdowns; one may be a nuisance with deep snow.

Dog-Related Notes: Several out today. Nice trail for them. Water available throughout.

Comments
Comments: Lower section nice and dry. Few muddy spots before frozen and snow packed trail conditions began. Minimal ice to deal with. Light traction used by some but easily barebooted by most seen today. Still the 8" of snow up higher--may have lost some since latest report here.
