 | Comments: |
'Tis the (dangerous) season for constant vigilance on the mountain trails. While we had a fairly easy, but long hike, we were focused on dry rock hopping the whole day, as there was a lot of ice on the relatively flat, but stream-like trails. The section from first stream cross on Kedron Brook Trail to Ethan Pond Trail junction is microspikeable (wore them on descent only); otherwise barefoot.
See other reports from Sat., especially High Cannon Trail accounts, to be reminded of what to include in your kit this time of year if you're going up high. |
