Many of the rocks were ice covered, making the crossings treacherous. We followed the river upstream to the bridge along the ski trail, then downstream to the second bridge, following the directions in the White Mountain Guide Book. Others did cross successfully. |

Several new trees were down and frozen in place, some inconvenient but none restricting passage |

A couple of happy dogs were on the trail. |

 | Comments: |
The trail was frozen with occasional ice to 3400 feet at which point,the ice came to dominate. We put spikes on at that point and did fine. No real snow anywhere that wasn't frozen solid. |
