Lost and Found: Jacket on Piper-Round Pond Link

Comments
Comments: Posting here because I found a jacket on the Piper-Round Pond Link. It looked like it had been there for a week or so.

Main goal for the hike was to follow in Kim Zimmerman's footsteps and check out the southwest side of Belknap. I went up the East Gilford Fire Rd. and the bushwhacked over to the Piper-Round Pond Link, coming out at the junction with the Boulder Trail. I passed through some big clear cuts on my way there. I then continued west on the Piper-Round Pond Link to where I thought I wanted to start my bushwhack ascent. That's where I found the jacket.

It turned out I hadn't gone far enough on the trail, and I ran into a cliff soon after leaving the trail. I managed to get over that, but I came out lower down on the Boulder Trail than I wanted. I had been targeting to come out near the junction with the East Gilford Trail.

I continued on to the summit and started down the Red Trail. I left the trail near the top and bushwhacked down to the junction of the White Trail and the road. I then took the White Trail to the Piper-Round Pond Link. I tried the bushwhack again. This time, I left the trail where I had intended the first time and followed the ridge line up the first part of the climb. I then continued on the bearing I had shot and came out near my target, the junction with the East Gilford Trail. I continued down the East Gilford Trail back to the trailhead.
