Surface Conditions: Ice - Black, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Ice - Blue

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Water crossing on lower Flume Slide were problematic because of the thin layer of ice on the rocks just above the water line. I mostly used the rocks that were just a little under water.

Trail Maintenance Notes: No major problems.

Dog-Related Notes: There is no good reason to bring a dog up Flume Slide under these conditions.

Comments
Comments: All of the ledges and slabs on Flume Slide were frozen waterfalls, smooth and solid. It was a full body exercise navigating the ice. I covered at least half of it by bushwhacking along side the trail [causes long-term environmental damage]. Micro spikes were NOT sufficient.
