New parking area is nice. Small- 5 car firm limit. One other vehicle today when starting at noon and a different one when returning, on a sunny Friday in December. |

Very well maintained and cairned. Easy to follow. |

Given the recent rain, I expected more ice. Dry trail all the way up to the exposed rocks, which had black ice that you could negotiate around if you planned your steps carefully. Light traction in those areas would be fine but you might find yourself taking them off and putting them on again repeatedly, or wearing them on a lot of bare rock/dirt. |
