Comments
Comments: Blue Bird Day today!! Spectacular views all day. Windy in lot but calm in the woods. Icy pretty much all day, I was able to bear boot to Mizpah Cutoff then micro spikes, Hillsound Trail Crampons would have been a better choice. Once past Alpine zone sign pretty much packed down except for the exposed slabs heading to Ike. Big ice flows heading up to both summits. Warm & sunny no wind on Pierce. Really blowing on Ike, I had full face gear on & glad I did. Probably 30 MPH gusts. Only saw 10 all day, most when I was heading down.
