Comments
Comments: North to South Traverse. Much less wind than forecast (max of 5 mph). Bareboots on Zealand Road, mainly ice with a coating of powder to the hut and then up to the Zeacliff viewpoint, up to 4" of powder on the Twinway to Mt Zealand but microspikes are enough. Powder deepens to about 6" from Zealand to Twinway/Bondcliff junction. Very little snow on the Bondcliff Trail over Guyot to the West Bond Spur, more powder on the spur and then up to Bond. From Bond to Bondcliff, more ice than snow and mostly exposed rock. Below Bondcliff is a coating of Powder over ice. Bottom Part of Bondcliff Tr below the Black Brook crossing is very wet and muddy, probably from all the rain. We discarded micros at the Wilderness Trail and barebooted to LW. To summarize, Micros were more than sufficient in between the road walks and flats. Congratulations to Jamie Brunt who finished his Grid on Bondcliff! Epic celebration.
