Comments
Comments: Awful, awful mixed bag of everything from the trailhead to the last switchback on Fire Wardens at 3500' as the weather events of the past couple days have significantly returned trail conditions towards shoulder season. Above here there was a pretty sharp change from a wet bony, boggy stream to more wintery conditions transitioning to a well filled trail that was mostly crust on dust on crust that was extremely compacted on trail, yet easily breakable off trail above 3800' with the occasional stretch of blue ice with some crust that was skiddy yet grippy and a couple minor drifts between the north knob and the summit. This was the finish of my 5th round of the NH 48
