Comments
Comments: Held off putting spikes on until the last second on the way up, but kept them on almost all the way down until the trail turned back into dirt and leaves since it was dark and the trail was icy. Higher up, snow cover is pretty good, but it was a bit of a game having to pick my way over rocks and mud interspersed with ice and snow at lower elevations. Didn't need snowshoes, as trail was pretty well packed down, and there wasn't any drifting. Epic sunset from the top. One other person was also up there getting ready to head down in the dark, so we checked with each other that we had everything we needed and then headed our separate ways - a wholesome trail interaction.
