Been gridding a while, but first ever trip report. Could have barebooted first half of Valley Way, but shoulder season spikes a better option. Snow deeper and looser after tent site turnoff, but snowshoes stayed on the pack. Pretty strong gusts on both summits; lost the cairns on Adams for a bit but found a route to the top over the rocks. Drifting in spots on Adams so watch your step - sunk up to my knees in a few places. Madison packed down nicely. Beautiful Thanksgiving above treeline! |
