Comments
Comments: Not much to add, in terms of conditions to N&C's post. Seems I had the afternoon shift on the route, and followed in their tracks up the mountain. Conditions were a little sloppy with the spring like melting snow down low up to the ledge with the potholes. Met a couple Grey Jays here, too lazy to take off the pack for a handout. The Caps were cool and a couple spots were a small challenge with the added snow and wet.

Toughest conditions were a few tenths before and after the Cornice junction where the deepest drifts were. Snow did not come close to supporting weight so rockhopping was the way to go. Beautiful views all around. First time on Caps Ridge and really enjoyed it, had the trail and summit to myself. Barebooted all afternoon, some may choose light traction but there was a lot of rock still exposed. Very little in the way of ice.
