Comments
Comments: About 2-3" of powder down low, increasing to half a foot in places on the ridge. A few areas of minor ice on the Hancock Loop Trail and on some flats elsewhere, but otherwise generally packed powder and some areas of mud. Conditions are about as good as it gets for shoulder season. Wore spikes for the descent off South Peak, but otherwise barebooted everything else without any heroic actions. Too bony for snowshoes, but a few more inches could put the ridge in play.

Temperatures stayed below freezing throughout the day with occasional sunshine and occasional snow squalls.
