Haystack Road was still open this morning. Spikes went on at the car and stayed on the whole time. The last mile had more snow than I expected and was not fully consolidated, but it wasn’t bad with spikes. Maybe 6-8 inches of snow, some minor drifting. It snowed a bit off and on, so not sure what this will be like tomorrow. Only saw one other hiker today.
FYI: every time I stopped at Beaver Brook Picnic Area this summer, the bathrooms were locked, but they’re open now! |
