Comments
Comments: The Hale Brook Trail had 2" of snow at the trailhead in the morning. The summit had about 5-6". Bright sun and warm temperatures are melting the snow, so more mud and rock will be exposed by the end of Thursday. I bare-booted up, then put on micro-spikes to go down to the hut. They were helpful most of the way, but I took them off shortly before arriving at the Twinway junction. South-facing areas are very muddy.
