Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This was my Autumn trail maintenance work. Trail is in reasonably good shape, but a recent wind storm knocked over several trees near the upper terminus of the trail, making it hard to pass. The giant leaner near that spot, which had been leaning for nearly a decade, finally collapsed. We were able to clear four of the blow-downs from the trail, but not these huge ones near the top. The Forest Service will need to take a look. I think the trail might be impassible in winter because of these blow-downs. Also note - the sign at the lower terminus of the trail broke at the post. We reburied the post, but now it's much shorter. It might get buried in winter.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: This is a great trail for dogs if you're looking for an alternative to Tripyramid Trail.
