Comments
Comments: It was too nice of a day not to be out there today! So glad we picked this one as it had a bit of everything: gradual ramp of a trail, switchbacks, couple of steep sections, rocky gorge, very few people ;) great views of Whiteface & Passaconaway from the spur trail. We tried to hit the actual summit via bushwack but we quickly lost the herd path and made our way back on the Lawrence trail. Snuck up on a white tailed deer with a 1/2 mile left in our hike. The beech leaves on Old Mast Rd made for a challenging ankle twisting descent. Such a great hike on a beautiful fall day.
