I walk around this trail quite often. The woods around the lake always seem to be in a state of collapse. I know there was a bit of maintenance recently to clean up the blowdowns, but I noticed that just in the last couple days there have been several fresh blowdowns across the trail. There is also a significant broken tree hanging on to the branch of an adjacent tree just before the junction with the Red Bench Overlook trail (heading clockwise). A strong gust of wind could cause it to dislodge and fall over the trail |
