Comments: The views from the summit are terrific!

This is a trail of two halves. The lower half is a smooth woods road, except for a few short stumps that are sawed off 3-4 inches above ground level resulting in a tripping hazard where they were hidden by leaves. The upper half is rocky and rough in many places, particularly the relocated area of short switchbacks where leaf litter made footing tricky in places. The relocations just after the trail leaves the road are also somewhat hard to follow. The trail makes several fairly shallow switchbacks, one of which I missed as I continued following the old tread way until it petered out on a small knoll. I could see the actual trail a short distance away, so this wasn’t a real problem. On the way down, the relocated trail was more obvious and my wife and I tried to close off the old trail we followed uphill with brush.
