 | Trails: |
Davis Path, bushwhack, Crawford Spur |
 | Date of Hike: |
Saturday, November 5, 2022 |
 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Given the weather, it was surprisingly not crowded. Tons of spots. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
That log bridge at the beginning is starting to feel a little wobbly and the watery muck it crosses is not something I’d want to step in… |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The usual blowdowns. There’s a fresh beaver fell near the start that narrowly missed the trail… |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
A border collie named Mia reportedly went missing from the trail yesterday (11/4). The owner was back today looking for her. If you’re up that way, keep an eye open. |
 | Bugs: |
Lots of annoying, buzzing things but they did not seem to bite. |

 | Comments: |
Seven weeks ago my wife (and hiking partner) had an eight-hour surgery to remove a (thankfully benign) brain tumor. Today that amazing woman made it up Crawford. It’ll be a few weeks until we’re back into the big ones, but I’m still in awe. |
