 | Dog-Related Notes: |
It was great to meet Cooper (and his companion, Cookies on Top). I am so sorry to hear about his run-in with the porcupine. Hope he's feeling better.
No water on this trail. Plan accordingly. |
|
 | Bugs: |
Butterflies on the summit and a Woolly Bear caterpillar. For those who believe in their weather predictions, he wasn't very woolly. |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Very nice cap hanging on trail just below the summit. As we did not see it on the way up (nor did we see anyone around) I figured the best thing to do would be to bring it down to the trailhead. It has a small benchmark pin on it. And it has company at that kiosk - a couple water bottles and a set of Hyundai (if I remember correctly) keys. |

 | Comments: |
Our first time on a Bratts trail, and it won't be our last. Your nice bright orange blazes (that looked recently attended to) helped when the leaves made the trail a little obscure in a few places. Good signage as well. Thank you.
Our comments will be brief, Cookies on Top's report has plenty of great info. A few things not to miss. Shortly after the winter short cut there is a look out with a nice bench (on the Gunstock Trail). Not too far from the summit there is a picnic table with views. Descended using the winter shortcut. Took the Ridge Trail for .1 mile to another lookout. Gorgeous day for this. |
