| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
We parked at the 7 Dwarfs and read Rocket21's instructions and spoke with Franz. Somehow, we still went the wrong way and added about 3 miles to our day. And this was before the rum balls! |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
the 3rd water crossing in was a tad dicey still....Mostly snowbridged, but you have to make some careful steps and/or use your poles to make sure the footing is solid. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
A few blowdowns but nothing terribly tricky |

Absolutely beautiful day with spectacular views! Wonderful snow formations on the fir branches! Could not have been a better day to have views of the presidential range!
A tad chilly (-8) to start but we were in the woods and we had a pre-broken trail! Thanks Rocket and others! Make sure you take the snowmobile trail 11 bypass instead of the standard 11. :-) We didn't get to see the partridge family bus until on the way out...via headlamp! |
