Lots of stream crossings. Ones on the PBB trail were easily rock hopped. SB was a bit more challenging. Bushwhacked to avoid 2 crossings on the SB so just had to cross it once. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Numerous step-over blowdowns on the PBB trail, 2 have fallen into the trail. Ditto for SB trail. SB trail is also hard to follow in places along the feeder brook |

| Comments: |
A nice day to tackle these two 4Ks. Ledges were a little challenging in places. We decided not to return the way we came due to how long it took to get thru the ledges. Plus the SB trail provided some different scenery. Although it was much easier to descend this way it did add a couple miles of flat hiking plus a 1 mile road walk back to the car. Note: did not have cell service at the trailhead nor anywhere on these trails except at the summits and along (and very near) the ridge connecting the summits. |
