 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Getting out to the parking area to go up the west side of Rose Mountain, could be a problem for some with low vehicles. Online says 4WD is required and before Scout Rd, there is a sign in Pinnacle Road that says road is washed out, pass at own risk. We had a 4WD and had no issues. The RAV4 in our group made it too. |

 | Comments: |
This was our 2nd time going to the summit of Rose mountain. The first time we did all 3 mountains from Mountain Road. It is not a hard hike to do all three. Rose Mountain is only 1.3 miles to the summit, it was tougher getting to the parking area LOL. We did some bushwhacking looking for an old Saab and some old abandoned camps and houses and found some artifacts and a cellar hole. The only thing I can say as far as trail conditions go, is be careful on the rocks covered in leaves, they we a little slick in spots.
We did post our adventure on YouTube for anyone interested in seeing the conditions and the hike. Just click the link... |
