Comments
Comments: Stunning fall day in the Northern Presidentials! I did the loop clockwise. Trails were in great condition and very quiet--I didn't see a single person until Lowe's Path. Everything above treeline was dry and easy to rock hop. There were a few small patches of ice, especially around the hut, but all of them were easily avoidable and I couldn't have used my spikes even if I wanted to. This ice may have also melted throughout the warm afternoon. Surprisingly, the bottom sections of trail were the trickiest--wading through deep leaves and twisting my ankles from stepping on a hidden rock or root (or sliding down hidden mud).
