 | Water Crossing Notes: |
One major crossing was and easy rock hop for an adult, but a slight challenge for a four-year old. On afternoon return when it was warm had the kiddo walk right through it |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Two or three blowdowns on Liberty Spring-easy climb overs |
|
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Great route for an in-shape mountain dog. Plenty of water on route- only carried a small amount above the spring for her on the Flume out-and-back. |
|
 | Bugs: |
None |
|
 | Lost and Found: |
Picked up a nice navy stocking cap on Liberty springs decent. 99% sure it was the guy with the dog we spoke with briefly on way up and at flume summit. If you read this email me with your dog’s age and description and I will mail you your hat!!! |

Gorgeous day to leave the wife and toddler at home and take our girls up some big mountains! Herd path from bike path to Liberty springs is easy to follow but buried in very deep leaves. There is a .3ish section above main water crossing that is soaked/running water down trail. Other than that trail is dry and in great shape. Met some friendly peeps including an ultra runner who ran Kilkenny with me and also an internet-famous redlining redline guide who plans on finishing next summer with a 110-mile speckled caribou run!!! Congrats to her client who we met on Flume for finishing her 48! |
