|Hiking Trail Conditions Report|
||Mt. Whiteface, Mt. Passaconaway, NH|
||Blueberry Ledge Trail, Blueberry Ledge Cutoff, Rollins Trail, Dicey's Mill Trail|
|Date of Hike:
||Sunday, October 30, 2022|
|Parking/Access Road Notes:
||Room at Ferncroft at 7:45, but looks like it filled to capacity later (and there's no overflow). |
||Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Leaves - Significant/Slippery |
|Water Crossing Notes:
||Dicey's Mill crossing on a log. |
|Trail Maintenance Notes:
||Noted some recently installed rock steps and water bars (nice work!) on Dicey's Mill above Rollins. The top three steeps are still untouched/nasty. |
|Lost and Found:
||Trails were generally dry, with the exception of a few wet ledges, a few minor mud patches, and the usual running water on Dicey's between the Rollins and East Loop junctions. Leaves, however, were treacherous. Slippery and still fluffy, hiding rocks and roots.|
Nice mid-fall day under sunny skies and temperatures touching the 60s.
