Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: A submerged rock hop I believe. Water was still flowing quite strong from recent rain. Withour waterproof boots, you’re feet would likely be wet
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I believe Crawford Path has the occasional yellow blaze. Maybe it was just on the ledge where blaze was actually needed though. I actually got off trail just above 2800ft on the ledge and didn’t even realize for awhile. Below tree line the trail is well travelled (and very well eroded) and is easy to follow. I don’t recall the blowdown situation.

Comments
Comments: Day 350, Peak 338. 3rd hike and 4th peak after the day after Millen and Dartmouth, then Deception. I’d done this peak about 10yrs prior but didn’t remember the summit or know if I’d stood at the true high point so it seemed prudent to redo. I seemed to have “forgotten” this one in my trail reports.

The first little stream crossing by the houses was interesting as there were feet of water in there which there normally is not. Was still able to walk on the puncheons though. The trail is pretty tame for the first half mile plus then gets progressively rougher and steeper until it hits the ledges. Some switchbacks help a little though. I was surprised how many were still out hiking this one. Lots of friendly folk :) Follow the cairns and blaze carefully on the ledges; I found myself off trail at least once. I continued along the summit spur to the summit. Beautiful views under the setting sun from the summit. The summit spur forms a tiny little loop at the end. I believe I deemed the highpoint to be in one of two spots along this loop. 4.5mi, 2200ft of gain, 2.5hrs. 15 more days and 27 more peaks to go…
