Comments
Comments: Started hike at 26 degrees at 7:30, however rising sun warmed nicely. Up to cascades trail dry with plenty of leaves on ground. Still some on trees but past peak. Cascades had plenty of water resulting in picture taking. Switchbacks to reach top of cascades were wet due to always in shade. Above cascades and reaching Nancy Pond area some board walks at El3000’ were slick or icy. On return temps were raised so dry. Norcross Pond was breath taking from both ends. Many great photos. First time here and in my opinion is one of best views in Whites. Herd path to Mt Nancy is easy to follow but 800’+ elevation gain in 0.6 miles is a workout.
