Backpacked out to Owlshead on Friday. Used both bushwhacks out and back. Black pond whack was a bit hard to find going out with the leaf clutter but easy coming back with the Saturday morning hiker traffic. Lincoln Brook trail is wet and muddy, where it's usually wet and muddy. Getting pretty close to that time of year when I switch to GTX mids. The stars in the Pemi were great last night and I had a front row seat all to myself, but damn was it cold. Time to break out the mummy bag. Gridded out October. |
