About five cars in lot at 2:30pm. Same number at 4:15pm. Zealand Rd in good shape. Pit toilets present and open. |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Water is plentiful right now, about half the crossings were bridged, the others are stepovers that were no problem. Plenty of rocks poking out to use for stepping stones. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail in great shape. I think it was the last bridge before the first long boardwalk section (heading in from parking lot), the end board (on what would be trailhead side of the bridge)is loose, could cause a fall (it bends with weight on it). |

Saw none, but no problem for them. They will love all the water. |

Just a quick out and back to the Zealand Ponds between rain showers. Lots of water flowing out of the area, but no problems on the trail, or at crossings. Really nice to enjoy the sound of flowing water the whole way.
We turned around just before the hut, so not sure how things are after that.
A couple of other people out enjoying the wet woods. |
