 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Cooper had a great time wandering in the forest. Trails as very easy for pups, and there are a few streams providing water for the thirsty doggo, or a place to clean off muddy paws. |

Sugar Hill Town Forest : Loop Trail, Bear Claw Trail, Woodcock Trail, Bear Claw Trail, Ledge Trail, Snake Trail, Brook Trail
It has been a while since I have been on Garnet Hill, and I wanted to approach from the town forest side (other times I came from Lovers Lane). The trails in the town forest are very easy to follow despite leaves covering path, and well marked with signage at all intersections. I didn't see a map, so I simply used Alltrails for the map and to monitor our location. The excursion to the GH summit is outside the forest, but didn't take long, and is not strenuous; great option for visiting family who are not regular hikers. The drawback, is that there are no views, just lots of forest. There are also several benches for resting along several of the trails. |
