Lincoln Woods was maybe half full at 8AM. It had overflowed out onto the highway by 6PM. |

We skipped the first two crossings by bushwhacking, but someone reported they were waist-high. The two crossings we did were tricky, with no totally clean rock hopping. |

| Lost and Found: |
Found a Mountainsmith Tellurite orange hiking pole underwater while trying to cross Lincoln Brook. I left it at the trailhead outside the station. |

Been dreading this hike but finally crossed it off. It was not nearly as unpleasant as I had anticipated with the foliage looking quite nice. We lost the Black Pond bushwhack on our way out and did a true bushwhack with just compasses, but managed to stay on it for the return. I think everyone we met did took Black Pond, because the water levels were very high. If I were to do this again, I'd bring tevas or water shoes to get across the rivers. Shout out to the two hikers I mistook for sisters. 46/48 down, next stop, Lincoln/Lafayette! |
