upon our descent, bugs (not flies- but familiar with what they were buzzing around, left us alone) were out for the last mile back to Nash Stream Road |

The temps were above freezing early morning so not bothered by wet trail on the ascent, but by the warmer early afternoon the leaf-covered trail was wet underneath, mud underneath- easy to slip given the steepness of the trail. The trail is completely covered by an abundance of leaves (making the mud/water nearly invisible...) but was still SO WONDERFUL to be out on that trail today! |
