 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
No issue parking right near the turnaround at about 7 today.
Upon return just before noon…wow. Cars all the way from the turnaround to the angled parking area. Myself and a few others played a game of chicken with a school bus on Ravine Lodge Road as we tried to head out. Needless to say, we lost. Ended up having to reverse down the road all the way back to the turnaround. Gotta say, that was a first for me… |

 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All bridged except for the one crossing on Snapper. Zero issue walking across the rocks.
The bridges on Asquam Ridge are a little rickety, but they serve their intended purpose. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
All trails well maintained and easy to follow. |

 | Comments: |
Trails were in surprisingly good condition after the recent storms.
Asquam Ridge was wet, but nothing crazy. Tons of blowdowns (off trail) between about 1.4-1.6 miles in. After the junction with Al Merrill Loop, trail was basically a stream for about a mile.
Beaver Brook had a lot of puddles between all the rocks.
Carriage Road to the junction of Glencliff is mostly dry, except for some big puddles in the flats. After junction with Glencliff, it’s pretty much a stream for about half a mile. After that, trail is mostly dry.
Snapper and Gorge Brook had some wet spots, but overall, not too bad.
Maybe the most amount of cars I’ve ever seen for this hike. Everyone must have gotten the memo that all the water crossings have bridges. |
