Comments
Comments: Super weather for hiking in peak foliage! The bushwhacks are in super condition, with Black Pond being more pleasant than some of the maintained trails. Brutus was as good as we have ever seen it- the dry week did it some good! The usual water/mud spots on Lincoln Brook that never seem to go away were there as usual. Overall, we saw almost no hikers until the slide- which was Mt Everest style PACKED. Lots of happy hikers out tagging this one today! Same story on the trip back, very quiet until Lincoln Woods where it was a mad house.
Overall a stellar day- if you need/want to hike Owls Head now is the time to do it.
