Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This is a herd path, so no blazes. Path in great shape, few stepovers, but most look pretty old, and one duck under if you are tall.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Coop had a great time. Short section to get the the summit is a bit of a scramble that should be OK for sure footed pups, although they may need a boost in 1-2 spots. Plenty of running mountain water on the path approaching the scramble in to quench a pups thirst.

Comments
Comments: Great short hike with fantastic views; trees peaking made for extra special views and lots of color. From FR, the turn off on the herd path is marked by a step over a small down log. The herd path is in great shape, and easy to follow. On approach, the peak looks intimidating, but the path actually approaches from the back side for the final scramble to the summit. Very peaceful and plenty of space to take in the views and relax.
