Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Two de-limbed head-banger blowdowns (6-8" dia) about 100 feet above The Link intersection, and a new birch leaner (8-10" dia) about 0.4 from the trailhead. No difficulty navigating under any of them currently, but a bit of snow would make the headbangers into a toll gate!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Hale enjoyed himself on this hike, but did need a boost in a couple of spots. I believe most people would consider this trail to be not-dog-friendly due to the scrambles and the rough granite near the top... YMMV based on agility and conditioning!
Bugs
Bugs: Had a bunch of black flies buzzing around us at the summit... wtf!

Comments
Comments: Beautiful day- blue skies, sunshine, and near-peak foliage! Started shortly after noon, guessing about 60 degrees and an intermittent breeze- temps at summit were a little cooler but still plenty comfortable to hang out in just a T-shirt for nearly an hour!
